personalized coaching to help you achieve your cycling goals. As a practicing Cardiologist I bring a unique approach to this goal compared to most cycling coaches. We will closely evaluate and improve your cardiovascular potential to be a competitive cyclist.
Learn all the essential skills you need to get home after a mechanical. Flat tires happen, chains fall off or break, gears come out of alignment. I dont ever want you to call someone to come and pick you up in a car. We can get you the skills to get home on your bike.
Once at home how do we keep the bike in good condition to avoid issues on your rides and save you money in the long run.

I want to lower the barriers to more people cycling, be it a new bike, an upgrade to your existing bike, or by taking advantage of all the ways you can actually get paid to commute by bike. (not including all the money you will save not using your car)

Riding fast and riding safely require a vast skillset. Many people think cycling is as simple as walking but really its far more complex and the skills needed are similar to the dgree of skills required to be a superior basketball or soccer player. We will ride together and see where you can make gains.
There's safety in numbers - be safer from cars in a large road group. You can learn to ride with a road group: from etiquette, positioning, and pacelines you will be able to fit right in to the group that passed you by the other day and ride faster, safer and further
cycling can be a gentle and effective way to recover and improve after: Heart disease, Stroke, joint injuries including surgery to a joint.
I have kids of my own who both ride a lot, I know it makes us parents nervous. I will ride with you child and teach them how to get around by bike safely, this will give you piece of mind to let them explore their world independently.

-regular exercise improves mental health
-commuting by car has been studied and linked to depression, anxiety and fatigue
-learn how commuting by car reduces for example heart rate variability (HRV) & how exercise increases it
(High HRV means the body can switch efficiently between stress and recovery)

Hi I'm Dominic, your personal coach. I'm a lifelong cyclist with experience racing road, mountain, and gravel, as well as years of daily commuting. As a practicing cardiologist at a top local university I combine medical expertise with cycling knowledge to help you achieve your goals safely and effectively.

I bring years of experience as a bicycle racer, and for the past three years, I’ve lived nearly car-free, commuting from Marin into San Francisco on both e-bike and traditional bikes. As a board-certified cardiologist and lifelong cyclist, I’m here to help you reach your goals — big or small — with personalized guidance rooted in both medical expertise and real-world cycling experience.
